Controvesial artiste Ishawna has been dropped by her
management team Just days after receiving heavy backlash for
disrespecting Jamaica’s cultural icon Miss Lou on social media.
In a statement released by Adrian Donsome Hanson of Donsome Booking Agency says he no longer manages the dancehall deejay.
The press release further states that bookings prior July 7, 2017, will be honoured.
Meanwhile, Ishawna also confirmed the separation via Instagram by informing promoters of her new booking information.
It is very unfortunate that the management team was lead to
this strict measurement , although we have no exact details as to why
they separated but an indication is given as it relates to the numerous
backlash the artist had been receiving from the controversial Instagram
post.
Recording artist Tanya Stevens with her irrelevance took to
Instagram in defense of Ishawna , asking persons who are blasting
Ishawna to post their recent dressing in the traditional table cloth
clothing and post a video reciting one of "Miss Lou's" poems.
Well, frankly speaking even though Jamaicans today are not necessarily
wearing table cloth clothing etc they respect their icon and certainly
will not allow a non Jamaican to "disrespect" an icon, someone who
helped to put Jamaica's history predominantly. What if it was Bob Marley
? Maybe Ishawna would have to put her career at rest and work a 9-5.
